The Blue Lotus – A Flower of Dreams and Awakening

The Blue Lotus – A Flower of Dreams and Awakening

The first time I tasted Blue Lotus tea, I felt as if I was meeting an ancient friend — gentle, mysterious, and deeply familiar. The aroma was soft and floral, almost like the scent of a temple garden at dusk. Holding the warm cup between my hands, I sensed that this wasn’t just a tea. It was a ritual, an invitation to slow down and listen.

The Sacred Flower of Egypt

Blue Lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) has been treasured since the time of the pharaohs. In ancient Egypt, it symbolized rebirth and higher consciousness. The flower opens with the morning sun and closes at night — a reminder of our own cycles of awakening and rest. Priests and priestesses used it to connect with the divine, open the heart, and quiet the mind.

A Subtle Plant Medicine

Unlike cacao or other plant allies, Blue Lotus is not a stimulant. Its medicine is gentle and feminine. It calms the nervous system, softens the edges of the mind, and creates a state of relaxed awareness. Some experience dreamy clarity, others a peaceful expansion — as if the world slows just enough for you to notice its beauty. You don’t need to “do” anything. You simply receive.

The Tea Ceremony

A Blue Lotus Tea Ceremony is meditative — a moment to reconnect with your inner self. The tea is steeped in warm (not boiling) water so the delicate essence can unfold. Before sipping, you set an intention: What am I ready to open to?

As the tea enters your body, warmth spreads through your chest and calm descends over your thoughts. The heart softens, the breath slows, and quiet awareness arises — the kind that doesn’t need words.

Preparing for the Experience

It’s best to drink Blue Lotus on an empty or light stomach. Eating beforehand can dull the sensitivity of the experience, while fasting or eating lightly allows you to feel the flower’s essence more clearly. Drink slowly, with presence, letting your senses guide you.

The Spirit of the Blue Lotus

Blue Lotus carries the spirit of surrender — an invitation to trust the flow of life. Awakening doesn’t have to be dramatic. It can be soft, fluid, and deeply feminine. Every time I sit with this tea, I feel my heart open a little more. It whispers: You don’t have to strive to awaken. Just bloom where you are.

About Me – Pure You

My name is Jacqueline Evers. Through Pure You, I create a space where presence, awareness, and the heart lead the way. I guide people — and myself — back to what is already whole within us: our essence, our rhythm, our inner light.

Writing and sharing these reflections is my way of holding a mirror for others — an invitation to pause, to breathe, and to reconnect with the quiet wisdom inside. Every word is an offering: a gentle reminder that transformation doesn’t have to be loud or forced; it unfolds naturally, when we allow ourselves to simply be.

Through retreats, teachings, and stories, I explore the intersection of body, mind, and spirit — the places where courage meets tenderness, where curiosity opens to understanding, and where self-love becomes a practice of daily life.

The Journey Beyond: Exploring the Layers of Consciousness

As a psychotherapist, I’ve spent countless hours helping people untangle the complexities of their inner worlds. I’ve seen the transformative power of this work, and I’m profoundly grateful for the healing it brings. But I’ve also discovered something deeper. A truth that goes beyond therapy and intellectual understanding. When we start from stillness within, from a place of pure consciousness, everything is already okay. There is no need to “fix” ourselves, because at our core, we are already whole. The journey is not about changing who we are; it’s about uncovering and experiencing the truth of our being.
