The Awakening Within – My Experience of a Kundalini Yoga Initiation

Today I experienced something truly special — something far beyond what I’ve ever known as Kundalini Yoga. This was not about movement or breathwork, but about surrender. About allowing something ancient and powerful to rise from deep within.

Back at Udara, I found myself entering a new environment — a softly lit grotto, a sacred cave filled with an almost otherworldly energy. The space was beautifully arranged — dark red mattresses on the floor, candles flickering in quiet corners, the air holding both mystery and peace. The light was warm and dim, inviting us to sink inward.

The woman who guided us, Saïda, carried herself with serene strength. Her voice was clear and grounded, and as she spoke, it was as if her words wove a protective circle around us. She comes from generations of shamans, and you could feel that lineage in her presence — calm, wise, deeply connected.

Kundalini and Light Codes Activation

Before we began, she explained that this was a Kundalini and Light Codes Activation — a process of returning to the body, feeling what has been suppressed, and reconnecting with truth.

Kundalini, she said, is the raw life force within all of us. For most people, it lies dormant, held down by old tension, trauma, or emotional stagnation. Through this activation, that sleeping energy is gently awakened, allowing it to rise from the base of the spine to the crown of the head.

As we lay down, eyes closed, she began to work with sound, rhythm, and energy. Her voice moved between English and another language I couldn’t recognize — perhaps the light language she spoke of. It wasn’t meant for the mind to understand, but for the body to feel.

The drumbeat echoed softly through the dome, resonating in my chest. Beautiful music surrounded us, flowing like a current through the space.

Feeling the Awakening

Then, she touched me.
And in that instant, I felt warmth begin to awaken inside me — not spreading quickly, but expanding gently, taking up space within. It stayed there for a while, as if it was reclaiming its place in my body. A quiet, living warmth.

As a Kundalini Yoga teacher, I am familiar with the symbolism — the white clothing she wore, the purity of the space, the stillness of the energy. White reflects all other colors, embodying the wholeness of light itself. It is the color we wear in Kundalini Yoga to expand our auric field and strengthen our radiance. Yet today, that symbolism became something I felt rather than something I knew.

She whispered, “Let what sits behind your beautiful smile come forward.”
Those words landed deeply.
Because I knew exactly what she meant.

So often we hide behind grace, behind calmness, behind strength. Yet underneath, there are feelings — tender, powerful, waiting to be seen.

This initiation felt like permission. Permission to feel what has long been buried. To allow warmth to move freely again — in its own time, in its own way.

She said the process continues over the coming days, and I can already sense that something within me has begun to shift.

I feel more open.
More alive.
More curious about what else is waiting to rise.

And as this new current moves through me, I’m reminded once again of what Pure You stands for — the gentle unfolding of your own truth. The courage to meet yourself fully. And the beauty that awakens when you allow life to move through you, exactly as it is.

About Me – Pure You

My name is Jacqueline Evers. Through Pure You, I create a space where presence, awareness, and the heart lead the way. I guide people — and myself — back to what is already whole within us: our essence, our rhythm, our inner light.

Writing and sharing these reflections is my way of holding a mirror for others — an invitation to pause, to breathe, and to reconnect with the quiet wisdom inside. Every word is an offering: a gentle reminder that transformation doesn’t have to be loud or forced; it unfolds naturally, when we allow ourselves to simply be.

Through retreats, teachings, and stories, I explore the intersection of body, mind, and spirit — the places where courage meets tenderness, where curiosity opens to understanding, and where self-love becomes a practice of daily life.

Meeting My Spirit Guides – A Journey Within

The workshop began in the most unexpected way. Before we even sat down, Ken started cleaning the room. Not in a rushed or perfunctory way, but with an intent that felt almost ceremonial. Space clearing. Creating an environment where the invisible could become felt. It was as if the walls themselves were exhaling, preparing to hold something sacred.

Transcending the Mind: A Journey Beyond Intellect

In our fast-paced, achievement-driven world, the mind often becomes our sole compass. It churns, analyzes, calculates, and seeks solutions—endlessly circling but seldom arriving. This habitual use of the mind, while practical in many ways, can also keep us confined in a loop of mental activity that offers no true resolution.
