The Celebration of Life

The Celebration of Life

After the morning sessions, the Sunday Festival continues with the Sound Healing Journey — an hour called The Celebration of Life.

We lie down in wide circles, our feet pointing toward the center. In the middle are large baskets filled with petals — red, white, and pink — symbols of love, mindfulness, and healing.

A soft cloth covers my eyes, inviting rest and surrender. I feel safe in the circle, surrounded by gentle breath and stillness.

The Language of Sound

The journey begins with the deep resonance of multiple gongs — their tones seem to speak to one another, weaving a wordless conversation across the room. The vibrations move through my body like waves, clearing and softening everything they touch.

Then come the bowls. Their sound is lighter, like shimmering water.

Suddenly, I feel something heavy placed on my chest. I imagine it’s one of the helpers adjusting something, but then I realize — it’s a singing bowl. Every so often, someone strikes it gently. The vibration travels straight into my heart, filling it with sound, light, and peace.

It feels timeless — as if I’m floating in a soundscape that has no beginning and no end.

The Petals of Gratitude

Then, softly, we are invited to sit up and stand.

We take a handful of petals from the baskets in the center. One by one, we throw them into the air — celebrating our being, our power, our courage, our love. The petals fall around us like blessings, like soft rain made of joy.

People with birthdays receive a red rose. So do those who have done something courageous.

When I’m handed a rose — for sailing solo from the Netherlands to Bali — I feel deeply seen. The rose becomes a symbol of everything I’ve lived through, and everything that has lived through me.

The Music of the Heart

Then the music begins — harmonium, guitar, congas. We sing mantras together, voices merging in rhythm and devotion. The songs are about gratitude, love, and unity.

As we sing, the energy in the room lifts. Smiles, tears, laughter — everything flows freely. We end by embracing one another, holding each hug for twenty seconds, long enough for oxytocin — the love hormone — to be released.

In those hugs, there are no strangers. Only connection.
Only love made visible.

Pure You – The Celebration Within

This Celebration of Life reminds me that joy and gratitude are not destinations — they are states of being we can return to at any time.

When we allow ourselves to receive — sound, touch, love — we reconnect to the pure essence within.

That place where nothing is missing, and everything belongs.

Pure You lives there — in the heartbeat of connection, in the courage to open, in the celebration of simply being alive.

About Me – Pure You

My name is Jacqueline Evers. Through Pure You, I create a space where presence, awareness, and the heart lead the way. I guide people — and myself — back to what is already whole within us: our essence, our rhythm, our inner light.

Writing and sharing these reflections is my way of holding a mirror for others — an invitation to pause, to breathe, and to reconnect with the quiet wisdom inside. Every word is an offering: a gentle reminder that transformation doesn’t have to be loud or forced; it unfolds naturally, when we allow ourselves to simply be.

Through retreats, teachings, and stories, I explore the intersection of body, mind, and spirit — the places where courage meets tenderness, where curiosity opens to understanding, and where self-love becomes a practice of daily life.
